About Tapu Creek Campervan Park in Thamescoromandel

Lovely family holiday park set in 2.3 acres of sheltered parkland in the Tapu Valley.


20 landscaped sites, powered and watered, toilet block and public dump station.


Facilities include a barbecue area, picnic tables, outdoor cooking area and a beautiful creek to cool off in.


Local Facilities include hotel, service station, restaurant and store a few minutes drive away. 22.5 Km North of Thames - only 90 minutes from Auckland and Waikato.


10 minute drive up the road is

Rapaura Watergardens and is an example of man in harmony with nature. Abundant native bush and ferns, watergardens, birds (Tuis, Fantails, Silver Eyes and Wood Pigeons), meandering walks over bridges and streams and a bush walk to a cascading waterfall.


Nearby Kauaeranga Valley offers extensive walking tracks. Activities include visiting a tropical butterfly and orchid garden, scenic flights, canyoning, gold mine and soap factory tours, golf, tennis, bowls, croquet, fishing and swimming. Local art, crafts and pottery abound, and there are some excellent dining spots. Thames runs a market in the main street every Saturday morning.
